Getting back in to the swing of things and kicking it off with my faves from July. I love when you find new beauty products and they work just like you were hoping, like, they just love you back… Here are this months faves…
SPECTRUM – HALF UNICORN HALF MERMAID BAG £16.99
First up is the cutest bag I have seen and quite literally sums me up in four words ha ha! My best friend bought me this for my birthday, it’s from Spectrum who specialise in make up brushes. Designed to hold up to 20 brushes OR just make a really cute, statement clutch! I love how bright it is, mythical and a perfect size bag for whatever you’re using it for.
BENEFIT – THE POREfessional MATTE RESCUE MATTIFYING GEL £21.50
This product originally caught my eye when strolling through a John Lewis store, out of curiosity I asked the store assistant what items help with shine and this was one of the products she pulled out. Matte rescue is an invisible mattifying gel that is used to minimise pores and more importantly mattifies shine, absorbing any excess oil leaving skin feel fresh and clean. It has a really refreshing scent and makes my skin feel refreshed before applying my make up.
NYX – TAME & FRAME TINTED BROW POMADE £5.50
After recently visiting a Boot store that has begun to stock NYX I just had to go and have a little spend up to celebrate! I have never tried a brow pomade before buying this one and did not overly know what to expect from it – it was deffo an impulsive buy! I bought it in the shade 03 chocolate which is a perfect match for brunettes. It is so simple to apply with an angled eye brush and feels less harsh than some pencils can be. It’s waterproof which is always a great factor and only cost £5.50!!!
NYX – SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM £5.50
Next up is another NYX item – the soft matte lip cream! I love the collection the brand provides I already have a small collection. My most recent is in the shade Amsterdam which is a really rich red. I love the way these feel when applied, they really are creamy. A lot of matte based products can be drying however this is soft yet with that matte finish. For the price of £5.50 I think these are some of the best matte lip products out there.
REVLON – HIGHLIGHTING PALETTE £9.99
I have hands down been loving these shimmery shades for helping enhance a summer glow. I bought this in the shade 030 Bronze Glow which is exactly what it does. I love the white shade for highlighting, the bronze colours look great lightly dusted over the areas which usually catch the light creating a soft and healthy glow. I imagine this palette will last a while as the smallest amount goes a long way! I feel like it could be a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick dupe?!
E.L.F. – STUDIO HIGH DEFINITION POWDER £7.50
I swear this product has been my HOLY GRAIL for setting my under eye concealer!!! It’s also great for all over but I feel it sets my under eyes perfect – masking fine lines for a glowing and radiant complexion. I got this in the shade sheer and it easily blends in to the skin when applying!
SINFUL COLOURS – KYLIE COLLECTION £3
Shades above are; Top coat, Haute Koffee, Kryptonite and Angel. Each colour costing £3 each which I think is a good price with a decent amount of polish in each. The thing I like about these nail varnishes are the glittery almost metallic shine they have to them. They dry pretty quickly – I’d say two coats are enough for a bold finish and the top coat helps give that finishing shine!
Have you used any of my monthly faves? What are yours?
